at the Healthcare and Life Science Solutions
Summit held at the Caesars Hotel and
Casino in Atlantic City, NJ from November
2-3. The summit, hosted by Verizon Wireless
and Alcatel-Lucent, is focused on emerging
wireless Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies
and trends in the health and wellness
industry.
Encore will showcase its C2C™ (Copper
to Cellular) router, a low-cost embedded,
cellular replacement of Plain Old Telephone
Services (POTS) lines needed when migrating
to remote Telemedicine and M2M applications.
Designed for HIPAA/HITECH compliance,
the C2C™ is used in legacy applications
that currently depend on POTS analog
telephone lines terminating on CPE with
embedded analog modems. These applications
include remote patient monitoring, access
to patient data, remote primary care
support, alarms, patient education and
more.
