Dulles, VA and Denver CO, September 18 , 2007 –Orbital Data Net today announced that it has been awarded the satellite broadband contract for the State of Missouri. Under this agreement, Orbital Data Net, a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for both WildBlue Enterprise Solutions and Encore Networks, will provide WildBlue high-speed Internet via satellite service and Encore Networks VSR™ family of VPN security routers to agencies throughout the State of Missouri. Orbital Data Net supports satellite based applications as diverse as security monitoring to remote controlling equipment in hard to access areas.
The Missouri Department of Conservation and the Department of Natural Resources will be the first agencies to receive the WildBlue and Encore equipment, with additional agencies to follow. State agencies began using the new equipment in May 2007. Financial details surrounding the contract were not disclosed.
