October 26, 2004 – Encore Networks, a leading developer of integrated converged Virtual Private Network (VPN) security solutions, today announced that Satlynx S.A. has approved Encore’s complete line of VPN security appliances as part of their multi-vendor program to provide SME and SOHO customers with enhanced performance VPN over satellite. Satlynx will now recommend the use of Encore’s IP only and IP+Legacy solutions on its satellite networks throughout Europe.

Satlynx is a joint venture between leading satellite providers SES Global, Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd and Alcatel Space. Headquartered in Betzdorf, Luxemborg, Satlynx offers two-way satellite broadband communication services throughout Europe. Services are delivered directly to small and large enterprises, through ‘service partners’ such as large telecommunication operators France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom, ISP’s like Tiscali Europe and large regional systems integrators.
