Encore’s EN-1000™ Is the First Sprint Certified CAT 1 Router for IoT and M2M Applications
Chantilly, VA – October 30, 2018 – Encore Networks today announced that Hyperion Partners has selected the EN-1000™ router for use on the Sprint 4G LTE Category 1 (CAT 1) network. The Sprint certified EN-1000™ is specifically designed for low and medium bandwidth IoT and M2M applications in enterprise and industrial markets.
Founded in 2012 and with offices throughout the US, Hyperion Partners is a full-service business development and technology consulting firm specializing in mobility. Hyperion has deep experience applying all aspects of mobility and complimentary technologies allowing customers to focus on their core competencies to achieve business goals and not worry about keeping pace with emerging technologies.
“Hyperion Partners focuses on the use of technology to impact the customer experience. They have been on the client side of the businesses they serve and understand the needs and pressures of buying and applying technology and mobile solutions,” said David Gilley, AVP of Business Development and Strategy for Encore Networks. “This is an exciting partnership for Encore and one which we will benefit from greatly due to Hyperion’s extensive history and long-standing relationship with Sprint.”
With the sunsetting of 2G and 3G networks, it is essential that end users have a reliable, cost-effective cellular replacement to future proof their investment into the next decade. Sprint LTE CAT 1 is an excellent technology choice providing download speeds up to 10 Mbps and upload speeds up to 5 Mbps. LTE CAT 1 provides a low-cost option for cellular connectivity and offers bandwidth for IoT applications that use moderate amounts of data throughput. The EN-1000™ router provides services not available on older equipment using slower cellular technologies, for example; back up/failover for small and medium sized businesses, utilities requiring SCADA and M2M connectivity throughout the GRID, ATMs, kiosks, digital signage and point-of-sale.
“Today business and technology are inextricably linked. Much of the value that Hyperion is able to deliver to our customers comes as a direct result of partnerships like we have with Encore Networks,” stated Dennis McSweeney, Hyperion SVP Strategy and Business Development.
All high performance, wireless EN™ routers can be remotely managed and monitored through Encore’s enCloud™ Enterprise Management System. The enCloud™ system displays key information and is scalable for VARs and MSPs with multiple customers and users.
